Forklift License Requirements 2026: What You Need

Forklift License Requirements 2026

For the forklift license in 2026, you primarily need one thing: the willingness to undergo training. The DGUV Regulation 68 requires that anyone working with industrial trucks provides proof of proper training. This is the central requirement – and it is easier to fulfill than you think.

Theory Online, Practice On-Site

You will learn the theory online, from home or on the go. You set your own pace. When you are ready, the practical day at Staplerschule1 follows on-site. There, you will practice driving under supervision and achieve the practical proof.

What You Bring

For the course, you only need a valid ID and the willingness to learn safe driving. No special prior knowledge or driving license is required. The training is aimed at both beginners and returnees.

Annual Refresher

After obtaining your forklift license, annual instruction is mandatory. It serves to refresh both theory and practice and protects you and your colleagues in daily work. At Staplerschule1, the annual instruction costs €40.
