Forklifts are agile, powerful, and used in almost every warehouse. However, it is important to note that a forklift behaves differently than a car – rear-wheel steering, load center of gravity, and stability must be learned.

Tips for Getting Started

• Familiarize yourself with the controls, load chart, and warning devices
• Practice slow, controlled movements with the forks lowered
• Drive with a load uphill forward and downhill in reverse
• Complete training according to DGUV Regulation 308-001 with a practical day
